A merry Christmas

I love this gift die from Sizzix. It's great both for Christmas cards and birthday cards. I also love the scalloped edge die from La-La Land. It's so versatile. The stamp in the center is from Tim Holtz and it's colored with Distress markers.

A merry Christmas to you

When it comes to Christmas I'm pretty traditional and therefor I really love the older Christmas collections by Graphic 45. Great colors and patterns, wonderful images and vintage feeling.

Happy old fashioned Christmas

I'm totally in love with Pion Design's Christmas papers. I especially love their old fashioned images. It reminds me of the pictures I used to look at as a child when I visited my grandmother who was born in 1913.
Thanks for looking!

Stockings by the open fire

This is by far the most time consuming card I've ever made. I've made mini albums and altered projects that took longer time, but never a card. I think it took me 10 hours to complete. I wont go into every little detail, but I can explain some of the techniques I used. It was the stocking die that inspired me to make this card. Immediately when I saw it I knew I had to make an open fire for the stockings to hang over. I looked at a lot of photos of stockings by the fire and then tried to create the most realistic look. I made the brick wall by using a stencil and modeling paste. In fact I used Aleenes true snow - worked like a charm. When it was dry I colored it with different red, orange and brown distress inks. I cut a hole in the brick wall for the fire place and started to think about how I was going to create the fire.

I colored a piece of manilla cardstock with yellow, orange and red distress inks, making sure they blended well. Then I started to cut out the flames by hand, but it did not look good. Time to be creative. I went through my dies in search for something that looked like flames and when I saw my poinsettia die I knew the petals would be perfect. I cut out a bunch of flowers and then cut off all the petals. To create the wall behind the fire I used orange, red and black distress inks to make the wall look really warm and grimy, like real fire places do. To highlight the flames I painted on some Glamour Dust Glitter Paint. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Christmas card with Inktense pencils

I stamped the cute little mouse on craft cardstock and then colored it with Inktense pencils. I stamped it again om different pattern paper and cut our the presents. Then I embossed a scrap piece of paper with gold embossing powder, stamped the image again and cut out the ribbons. I paper pieced everything, cut it out and adhered it to the green paper where I already had stamped the image. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder.

Merry Christmas

A Christmas Card I made using Pion Design papers, differents stamps, dies and silver stickles. I diecut a circle in the paper, diecut a circle of the image of the 2 girls and put it behind the negative space. Between the layers I put of piece of acetate and then I popped up the top layer of paper with dimensional adhesive.
This is the tag that goes inside the card. I used Tim Holtz new stencils to color in the stars with Iced spruce and used the same color to ink the ribbon.

Bright birthday card

I used different distress inks and mists to create this card. I also used an embossing folder for the top layer of my card. I don't know if it shows up on the picture, but I die cut the butterfly in the blue paper so only the negative space was left. Then I die cut the butterfly again from a piece of orange paper that was left, and put it in the negative space as a piece of puzzel. It looks really nice in real life. The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Christmas card with stars and glitter

I used Tim Holtz new on the edge star die to create this card. The trees are a Spellbinder die and I stamped a border stamp across them and then emossed them with gold embossing powder. I made the stars on top of the trees with TH's new stencils. I embossed through the stencil and then cut out the stars. The snowflakes are also a new product from TH. They're part of a stamp and die set. I only used the stamp here and embossed them with white embossing powder. To finish the card off I added stickles here and there.

Birthday card

I love to find new ways to use my stamps, so for this card I stamped all the flowers on different pattern papers and cut them out. I don't have a vase die so instead I used an oval die and cut the top and the bottom off. Lots of pearls give the card that little extra a birthday card needs.

Christmas card with Inktense pencils

It was so much fun making this card. I stamped the image and then I used Inktense pencils to watercolor it. I paper pieced the hats and the scarf on the little birdies and added Glossy Accent on the snow. This is the first time I used these pencils and they're really easy to work with.

Use of pearls

If you are like me you have a lot of random pearls in different colors and sizes in your stash. I was thinking of creative ways to use them and came up with this idea. I draw a heart on a piece of paper (you can use a die if you have one) and cut it out. Then I lined up the paper on the card and used the negative space to place the pearls along the edge of the heart space to get a perfect placement. You can draw a heart directly on the card or use the actual heart when you place the pearls. I just thought this was the easiest way.

I used different distress inks, a lot of stamps and masking technique to create the scene on this card.

Baby girl mini album

I made this mini using chipboard and Graphic 45 papers. I had a lot of scraps and random sheets from different collections and since many of the collections coordinate so well, I decided to combine them and use up some scraps at the same time. The only papers that aren't from G45 in this mini are the images of the girl and dresses on the cover. They are from Pion. The person who is receiving this mini doesn't scrapbook so I tried to keep it simple without too many hidden pockets and tags.

Silver and blue

This Christmas card is my favorite amongst those I've made so far. Silver and blue give that classic, yet vintage/shabby chic look that I love. And Pion's papers are just heavenly to create with!

This is the tag that goes with the card. I did a lot of stamping, misting and inking with distress inks to
achieve the look that I was going for. Love the combination of Vintage Photo and Iced Spruce.

Tag collage

This is a tag collage I made a while back, using chipboard, gesso, stamps, embossing powders, metal embellishments, mists, old bookpages, distress inks, corrugated cardboard and Inka Gold.

House-shaped card

I love making cards with landscapes and scenes. I make up little stories about the cards and feel like I've created my own little world. I imagine that the sweet little girl in this card lives alone in the house together with all her animals and she is very happy :)

Folded 3D card

I folded this card in different sections to create a 3D effect. The first 2 sections are a little landscape with trees, a reindeer, Santa and children playing in the snow. In the last section I put a tag where there's place for a message.
This is how the card looks like when you look at it from the side.

Christmas house

I made this Christmas house with a milk cartoon as base. I used a lot of punches and dies to create the trees, the roof, the picket fence, the wreath and the windows.

Here is a picture of the backside.

Here it is from an another angle. The images in the windows are from Kaisercraft. The other pattern papers are from Pion.

And this is the house from above. I love the fake snow, it looks so real.

Christmas card in frosty blue

I love all of Pion Design's papers but I think the ones with this pale frosty blue color is my favorite right now.

The back of the card.

Christmas card Pion Design

I made this card using the beautiful Christmas papers från Pion design. This is how the card looks with the bellyband on.

And this is how the card looks like when you remove the bellyband. Behind the flap in the center is room for a message.
